Maintenance Worker I

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Possession of or ability to obtain State water/sewer certifications desirable.
• Possession of a North Carolina CDL driver’s license preferred.

Skills

Employee is responsible for helping with new water/sewer line construction, locating water/sewer lines, making water/sewer taps, maintaining water/sewer lines and/or water/sewer right-of-ways, maintaining pump stations, repairing equipment, operating and maintaining equipment including vehicles, trucks, mowers, tractors, backhoes, graders, power tools, landscaping yards, utilizing proper safety precautions, performing work in emergency situations, working with hazardous materials, repairing broken meter boxes, replacing faulty meters, cleaning-up shop, and other duties as required.
