About the role
Performs unskilled and semi-skilled manual work involving the maintenance of public facilities and streetscape installations in the downtown Orlando area. Duties include minor hardscape repair utilizing bricks and pavers, installing and removing banners, and removal of debris and litter when needed.
Schedule
WORK HOURS: 7:00am to 4:00pm.
Responsibilities
- Perform minor hardscape repair using bricks and pavers
- Install and remove banners
- Remove debris and litter as needed
- Work outdoors for extended periods under varying weather conditions
- Work in areas with exposure to insects, chemicals, and traffic fumes
- Work in or near public rights-of-way
- Perform physically demanding manual labor
- Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds
- Work from ladders as required
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and follow instructions
- Six (6) months experience with working in sidewalk construction or installing pavers preferred
- A valid Florida Driver’s License is required
Pay
Salary Range: $16.71-$21.31 per hour
