Maintenance Worker

Responsibilities

• Mop and scrub floors
• Dust furniture
• Clean elevators
• Clean restrooms and replace supplies
• Dispose of wastepaper
• Cut grass, shovel snow, sweep and clean walks, and keep outside premises in order
• Replace light bulbs and make minor repairs in and around the facility grounds
• Move furniture and equipment; receive supplies and deliver to the facility
• Keep inventory of cleaning supplies and place orders

Professional Requirements

Language Skills

Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively orally with staff and clients as needed.

Skills

• Ability to learn materials, methods, and practices used in cleaning operations
• Ability to learn the operation and care of various cleaning machinery
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions
• Ability to lift or move with equipment up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work outdoors and in various weather conditions

Requirements

• Prior experience in maintenance or janitorial work
• High School Diploma or GED

Pay

$30,000 – $40,000 yearly salary
