MAINTENANCE WORKER

Job Summary

Pearl Haven is a specialized facility on the north shore of Oahu that provides trauma-informed therapeutic services for girls ages 11-17 who have experienced complex trauma or are diagnosed with serious emotional and behavioral disturbances.

About the role

As a Maintenance Worker, you will perform a variety of tasks including general building maintenance, minor electrical and plumbing repairs, smoke detector and emergency light maintenance, swamp cooler/air conditioner installation and repair, floor tile replacement, roofing repair, grounds maintenance, irrigation, and new construction.

Responsibilities

• Perform work orders including general building maintenance
• Minor electrical repairs
• Minor plumbing repairs
• Maintain and install smoke detectors and emergency lights
• Maintain and install swamp coolers/air conditioners
• Replace floor tiles
• Repair roofing
• Grounds maintenance/irrigation if needed
• New construction

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 21 years of age
• Pass a criminal background check
• Pass a drug screen
• Pass a physical exam
• Pass a TB test
• Empathetic, patient, and desire to work with troubled teens

Qualifications

• Ability to follow safety protocols
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication skills

Schedule

The Maintenance Worker will work a Monday to Friday schedule from 8am – 4:30pm with a half an hour break.
