Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain mechanical equipment, including heating and air conditioning
• Handle electrical routines such as replacing light bulbs, batteries on smoke alarms, and ballasts when necessary
• Perform plumbing duties, including unclogging sinks, toilets, and repairing faucets
• Assist with snow and ice removal as needed
• Maintain an atmosphere that allows privacy, dignity, and well-being of all residents, staff, and visitors in a safe and secure environment
• Respond to off-hours critical calls to resolve facility issues

Requirements

• Minimum of five years’ experience in facility maintenance work with an emphasis in a healthcare environment
• Ability to lift in excess of 50 pounds, push, pull, and move residents, equipment, and supplies up to 200 pounds
• Flexible work hours to work beyond normal hours, weekends, holidays, and in inclement weather when necessary
