Job Description The Maintenance Worker I performs a variety of grounds maintenance, landscaping, and facility support functions to help ensure HRI properties remain safe, clean, functional, and well-maintained. Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, this position supports the upkeep of landscaping, community common areas, cemetery grounds, parks, beach areas, streets, streetlights, roads, drainage systems, streams, ditches, pump stations, reservoirs, control equipment, and other property assets. This is an entry-level position. Responsibilities Property & Grounds Maintenance Perform landscaping and maintenance activities on Company managed properties and facilities, including raking, shoveling, pruning, hauling vegetation and materials, removing debris, collecting trash, and maintaining clean and attractive grounds. Assist with the care and maintenance of landscaped areas, open spaces, and community common areas. Community Infrastructure Maintenance Support the maintenance and upkeep of community assets, including streets, streetlights, cemetery grounds, parks, beach areas, roads, drainage systems, streams, ditches, pump stations, reservoirs, control equipment, and related infrastructure. Equipment Operation Safely operate landscaping and maintenance equipment, including weed trimmers, riding mowers, hand tools, power equipment, and other maintenance machinery as assigned. Qualifications Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple-worthy.High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.Ability to safely operate hand tools, power equipment, and heavy equipment with commitment to safe work practices and quality workmanship.Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions while performing work.Ability to frequently walk, stand, bend, kneel, lift, carry, push, and pull throughout the workday.Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds.
