MAINTENANCE TRAINING SUPERVISOR
About the role
Trains employees on Safety Procedures including, but not limited to Lock Out/Tag Out, Power Industrial Truck, Scissor Lift, Harness/Fall Protection, etc. Manages the Alchemy Training Program. Tracks and documents that team members are receiving required time in training program. Provides feedback to management team if not meeting requirements. Gives timely feedback to team members on progression through training. Spends time in plant verifying team members with hands-on training and comprehension. Continually develops training curriculum specific to plant needs. Documents and maintains training records. Ability to communicate verbally and written in English. Goal-oriented and possesses root cause analysis skills. Ability to lead people toward achieving personal and plant results.
Responsibilities
- Assist HR with maintaining accurate pay for hourly job postings and keeping accurate records of placement
- Coordinates maintenance employee’s responsibilities and oversees the mechanical of equipment
- Responsible for correcting or facilitating correctible measures when downtime results from mechanical or technical defects
- Processes maintenance downtime report for corporate and plant management
- Sets up work orders or special projects to maintenance employees
- Maintains department budget within specified guidelines
- Conducts preoperational inspection and handles maintenance concerns of Production Supervisors to make sure operation begins as scheduled
- Reviews maintenance purchase requisitions and submits for approval
- Provides technical, mechanical, and/or electrical assistance throughout shift
- Delegates training procedures to maintenance employees
- Tends to other duties as needed
- Directs PDM workforce and schedules PM’s with mechanics
- Analyzes data collected by employees and gets correct information to maintenance managers so follow-up repairs can be performed in a timely manner
- Be willing to receive further training to have the knowledge to analyze data. This training can be from third parties, online or internal sources
- Maintain budgets and improve processes used to maintain equipment to the highest level possible
- Ensure safety of all employees
- Ensure inventory levels are adequate for parts and materials needed to keep lubrication routes and repairs can be done in a timely manner
- Monitor attendance and schedule vacations of direct reports

Requirements
- Be able to communicate verbally and in written form in English
- Ability to perform general mathematical calculations
- Mechanical inclination and knowledge of job specifications
- Industrial construction experience beneficial
- Previous hourly maintenance and supervisor experience needed
- Good attendance record (Less than 3 points, for internal candidates)
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
Skills

- Have mechanical inclination and knowledge of job specifications
- Have industrial construction experience
- Have previous hourly maintenance and supervisor experience
