About the Role

Establishes and directs a training system and/or conducts classroom and practical instruction to provide technical knowledge for the safe maintenance, repair, and operation of aircraft, aircraft systems, ground equipment, tools, test equipment, stores, and facilities, according to established procedures. May analyze current operating problems and future operating requirements to identify training needs and develop training programs.

Writes, edits, and produces materials for technical instruction. Provides assistance and support to all divisions in helping them determine their training needs and develop and conduct their maintenance training programs. Establishes and directs the maintenance of company-wide training programs and a company-wide training and qualification record system.

Maintains currency in technical developments, technical training, and audiovisual techniques including the maintenance of company aircraft instruction manuals. Coordinates all required technical training and outside contract sales technical training programs. Excludes ground school instructors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee C-130 and F-35 skills enhancement centers.
• Deliver structures training to production and flight operations employees.
• Establish and deliver technical training programs targeted on the installation, maintenance, and repair of aircraft structures materials, specific tools, test equipment, and utilize internal company systems such as SFM, QADS, ICA, PDM, MPS’s, PS, and JDL.
• Read, interpret, and instruct using Blueprints and Process specifications.
• Review lesson plans and materials for technical instruction in preparation for class delivery.
• Maintain instructor currency/proficiency of assigned courses.
• Responsible for course control document reviews.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint and Excel.
• Ensure roster accuracy and class completion verification.
• Provide technical expertise in a consulting role to engineering and production teams to meet DCMA 8210.0 and other contractual training requirements.
• Travel may be required to support other sites aligning with Marietta (Meridian MS & Clarksburg WV) as well as other F&FT training sites (e.g., Fort Worth TX, Palmdale CA & Greenville SC).

Requirements

• Must have 6 or more years of production experience with C130 aircraft and/or F35 structural aircraft build experience.
• Experience with delivering structures training to production and flight operations employees.
• Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and instruct using Blueprints and Process specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint and Excel.

• F35, F22, and C130 structural experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience with structural maintenance on fighter and cargo (F-35, F-22 & C-130) aircraft, including:
  • Drill, Ream, and Countersink.
  • Solid and Liquid Shimming.
  • Fastener Installation and Bonding techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and revise training material to keep technical information up to date and meet new training requirements.
• Demonstrated instructor skills including classroom lecture, lab performance demonstrations, and evaluations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

For Washington state applicants only: Non-represented full-time employees accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) and receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full-time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month, accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually, and receive at least 96 hours for holidays.

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $89,100.00 - $165,500.00.

Schedule

3-day weekends every weekend with flexible work schedules available.
