Description
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver training programs for maintenance staff on equipment operation, preventive maintenance, safety protocols, and emergency response
- Assess training needs and skill gaps within the maintenance team; create customized learning plans to enhance technical expertise and compliance
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance training activities, certifications, and employee progress, track and report on project milestones, deliverables, and outcomes
- Routinely review and update training materials to reflect best practices, updated regulations, and new technologies
- Provide hands-on coaching, mentoring, and technical support to maintenance staff throughout the company
- Lead and support special projects such as equipment upgrades, process improvements, sustainability initiatives, and capital improvement projects
- Collaborate with leadership, contractors, and vendors to ensure successful project planning, execution, and completion within scope, budget, and timeline
- Ensure all training and special projects align with OSHA regulations, safety standards, and organizational objectives
Qualifications
- Proven experience in maintenance operations with strong knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Capability to work collaboratively as well as manage multiple priorities by demonstrating the ability of exhibiting motivational, decisive, and strategic leadership
- Experience developing and delivering technical training programs
- Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting
- Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring/coaching skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, ability to demonstrate competency with industry-specific software, and technical documentation
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Combination of office, classroom, and on-site environments
- Requires standing, crouching, reaching, bending, walking, and conducting hands-on training at the training facility as well as on-site at a property
- May be exposed to noise, dust, heat, temperature changes, and other conditions typical of maintenance environments
- Must occasionally lift or move equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Extensive travel may be required for training or project oversight
