About the role
The Maintenance Technician is integral to meeting the mission of Balfour Beatty Communities, which is to deliver quality communities that people are proud to call home. This role requires responsibility for maintaining the physical condition of the community and providing world-class service to residents.
Responsibilities
- Learn and provide maintenance support for general maintenance and orderliness of property, including HVAC, mechanical, electrical, utilities, and lighting systems.
- Inspect and repair these systems as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- Deliver high levels of resident satisfaction through responsive, consistent, positive, and professional interactions.
- Work a rotating on-call schedule for 24/7 maintenance coverage.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of basic tools and general maintenance processes.
- Basic trouble-shooting skills.
- Valid, state-issued driver's license with a safe driving record.
Qualifications
- Frequent standing, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, sitting, lifting, and moving equipment and supplies up to 50-75 lbs.
- Regularly use hands to manipulate tools, machinery, equipment, supplies, and office equipment.
- Employee frequently interacts directly with residents, maintenance, and communities' staff during the workday.
Skills
- Basic knowledge of tools and maintenance processes.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic maintenance issues.
- Safe driving record.
