Maintenance Technician - View at North Hills

About the role

Responsible for service request completion stats, resident satisfaction surveys, and making ready standards. On-call shifts are required, with weekends and nights being highly possible.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair service issues in apartment homes and buildings.
  • Prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing and new move-ins.
  • Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities to highest curb appeal standards.
  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks and inspections as directed.
  • Participate in snow removal efforts.
  • Share in emergency call rotation.
  • Ensure the successful execution of all company operations policies and procedures.
  • Deliver the highest level of resident satisfaction through responsive, consistent, positive, and professional interactions.

Requirements

  • Two years maintenance experience and/or training.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A trade school or industry training is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Must demonstrate the ability to frequently lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
  • Be able to withstand prolonged standing and repetitive activities, to include but not limited to walking, climbing, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Regularly use hands to manipulate tools, machinery, equipment, and supplies.
  • Work is performed at varying interior, exterior, and mechanical locations at a residential apartment community.
  • Frequent direct interaction with residents and community team.
  • May need to drive personal vehicle on property at times.

Skills

  • General building maintenance experience including apartment turnover, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, carpentry, construction.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • A strong desire to continuously improve technical skills.
  • Safety and proficiency in using small hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to stay organized, detailed, and efficient in a fast-paced environment.

Pay & Schedule

  • Pay rate: $21-$23/hour.
