Maintenance Technician - Veri at Timberhill
About the role
Greystar is a leading real estate platform offering property management, investment management, development, and construction services in institutional-quality rental housing. This Maintenance Technician role is based in Corvallis, Oregon.
Responsibilities
- Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Prepares vacant apartment homes for leasing and new move-ins by completing the make-ready process.
- Follows procedures for accessing and obtaining materials, supplies, equipment, tools, and other items from the property’s maintenance department.
- Documents and tracks service requests in a timely, accurate, and complete manner.
- Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by performing tasks such as picking up trash, pressure-washing, cleaning, and painting.
- Supports cost-cutting and expense control programs by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible, being mindful of materials and supplies, and using tools correctly.
Other Responsibilities
- Complies with Greystar’s safety and risk-management policies by attending safety meetings, completing required training, and reporting accidents and incidents promptly and accurately.
- Periodically inspects work performed by contractors, vendors, and other service providers to ensure quality standards, scope, and specifications are met.
- Assists in conducting routine and periodic property inspections to identify safety and risk management concerns, keep the property in good repair, and communicate concerns about the physical needs of the property to management.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl in confined areas.
- Ability to work inside and outside in all weather conditions.
- Ability to push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to twenty-five (25) pounds independently and fifty (50) pounds with assistance.
- Rare or regular travel may be required to assist other properties as needed, attend training classes, business meetings, or other situations necessary for the accomplishment of some or all of the daily responsibilities of this position.
- Able to work a flexible work schedule, which includes taking “call” during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Licenses or Certifications
- EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling (for Certified Service Technicians).
- All certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions (for all Service Technicians).
- Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property, if applicable.
Pay
The hourly range for this role is $20.00 - $23.00. Additional compensation may include participation in a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance, and weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs for onsite property positions. Corporate Positions may also be eligible for a 401(k) with Company Match up to 6% of pay after 6 months of service.

Qualifications
Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in property maintenance or a similar field. EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling are preferred for Certified Service Technicians. Other certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions are also preferred for all Service Technicians. A valid driver’s license may be required depending on the property size.
