Responsibilities

  • Maintain 5S standards of assigned areas and observe company policies.
  • Complete each phase of responsibility by adhering to all TS16949 standard operating procedures.
  • Notify designated personnel of any irregularities in materials, processes, or equipment.
  • Perform all phases of the job in full compliance with all company, state, and/or federal safety and environmental regulations.
  • Impact significant environment aspects of the ISO14001 environmental management system.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervision.
  • Work within a team environment.
  • Operate powered mobile equipment according to company standards.
  • Maintain production, maintenance, S.P.C., deviations, and other required records and logs as instructed.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, and power control equipment using schematics, prints, drawings, sketches, verbal instructions, etc.
  • Comply with building and underwriter’s codes and all national/city/state electrical codes.
  • Determine proper secondary components such as wire size, breakers, switches, insulation, chassis, and associated hardware, as well as various commercial catalog items.
  • Operate various types of electrical and electronic measuring and calibration instruments such as meters, laptops, thermocouples, bridges, chart recorders, thermal vision cameras.
  • Perform all work in a skilled and craftsman-like manner, making electronic quality solder joints, connections, terminations, crimps, etc.
  • Protect and mount elements while avoiding heat damage and contamination at all times.
  • Perform specified tasks of an Electrician as assigned.
  • Instruct, direct, and/or provide assistance and guidance to other less experienced personnel in matters pertaining to electrical and/or electronic work.
  • Alert supervision of errors in drawings and specifications.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform hot work, stand up to 100%, lift up to 75 lbs, perform overhead work, kneel, bend, crawl, push, pull, climb, and work at heights.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Knowledge of electrical and electronic principles and practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Skills

  • Electrical and electronic troubleshooting and repair.
  • Use of various electrical and electronic measuring and calibration instruments.
  • Skilled in making electronic quality solder joints, connections, terminations, crimps, etc.
  • Ability to operate powered mobile equipment according to company standards.
  • Knowledge of building and underwriter’s codes and national/city/state electrical codes.
  • Ability to determine proper secondary components and commercial catalog items.
  • Strong communication and instructional skills.
