Maintenance Technician - The Solstice

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team at The Solstice, a 156-unit apartment community located in Lake St. Louis, MO. You will aid in all general maintenance of the property, including routine, preventive, and turnover maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders and other community maintenance tasks
• Maintain the community’s appearance at or above quality standards, including picking up trash and cleaning buildings and amenities
• Identify needed maintenance and liability hazards, reporting them to the Manager
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in
• Review the make-ready board and follow direction from the manager to address vacant apartments
• Perform all necessary repairs and replacements to ensure apartments are ready for occupancy
• Work odd schedules and be available for on-call rotations
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures

Requirements

• 2+ years of general maintenance experience; multifamily maintenance experience preferred
• EPA Universal License for HVAC (required)
• CPO license (preferred)
• Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment, plumbing systems, electrical systems, and major appliances (including washer and dryer)
• Strong customer service skills
• High school diploma or equivalent (strongly preferred); college-level or trade school education (preferred)
• Basic computer proficiency (preferred)
• Bilingual (a plus)

Physical Demands

This role involves constant activity, including intermittent standing, bending, crouching, pushing/pulling, lifting/moving/carrying light and heavy loads, and climbing stairs and ladders.

Pay

$24 - $26 per hour, with opportunity for incentive/bonus pay.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM, with occasional on-call rotation (additional pay provided).
