Maintenance Technician - The Avery
About the role
The Service Technician role at Avanti Residential involves maintaining the appearance and operations of the property, both inside and out. Key responsibilities include preparing units for move-ins, completing work orders, managing appliances, conducting unit inspections, and handling emergency maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Prepare units for move-ins with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and painting repairs.
- Complete work orders within 24 hours as directed by the Community Manager and/or Service Manager, reporting any emergency work orders promptly.
- Respond to after-hours emergencies (on-call).
- Manage snow removal (CO, KS, UT) or hurricane preparation and cleanup (FL).
- Demonstrate strong customer service skills and maintain clear, professional communication with residents, vendors, and team members.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED.
- One to two years of relevant experience.
- OSHA, EPA, and CPO licenses/certifications preferred.
- Written, verbal, and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of facilities management and mechanical equipment.
- Criminal background screening required prior to employment.
- Valid driver's license and up-to-date vehicle insurance required.
- Pass the Wonderlic pre-employment assessment.
Qualifications

Pay
Premium pay available for required duties completed outside regular operating hours based on business needs and after-hours coverage.
Schedule
Monday - Friday schedule with on-call responsibilities.
