About the role
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician responsible for performing preventative and urgent maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams
- Perform electrical tasks such as troubleshooting, minor repairs, and working with sensors and starters
- Diagnose and repair equipment with timing and programmable logic controls (PLCs)
- Prioritize downtime issues to minimize production interruptions
- Assist with installation of new equipment and support facilities tasks
- Communicate effectively across departments and participate in meetings
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications preferred
- 3–5 years of experience as a multi-craft industrial technician
- Intermediate knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Excellent time-management and flexible work availability, including weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards
Work Environment
- Processed and refrigerated food manufacturing plant
- Wet/dry conditions with temperatures from 25°F to 115°F
- Demands may include short-notice overtime and weekend work
