About the role
The Service Technician role is essential for maintaining the appearance and operational excellence of the property. This includes preparing units for new move-ins, completing work orders, managing emergency maintenance, and performing various types of maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
- Prepare units for move-ins with necessary repairs including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and painting.
- Complete work orders within 24 hours as directed by the Community Manager and/or Service Manager, reporting any emergency work orders promptly.
- Respond to after-hours emergencies and manage on-call responsibilities.
- Manage grounds pick-up, sweeping, and light landscaping tasks such as mulch and sprinkler head replacements.
- Handle snow removal (in CO, KS, UT) or hurricane preparation and cleanup (in FL).
- Demonstrate strong customer service skills and maintain clear, professional communication with residents, vendors, and team members.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- At least one year of relevant experience is required.
- OSHA, EPA, and CPO licenses/certifications are preferred.
- Strong written, verbal, and oral communication skills are necessary.
- Knowledge of facilities management and mechanical equipment is beneficial.
- Criminal background screening must be passed before employment.
- A valid driver's license and up-to-date vehicle insurance are required.
- If minimum qualifications are met, a Wonderlic pre-employment assessment is required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 1+ years of relevant experience required.
- OSHA, EPA, and CPO license/certifications preferred.
- Written, verbal, and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of facilities management and mechanical equipment.
- Pass criminal background screening prior to employment.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and up-to-date vehicle insurance is required.

Pay
Premium pay is available for required duties completed outside regular operating hours based on business needs and after-hours coverage.
Schedule
Monday - Friday schedule with on-call responsibilities.
