Maintenance Technician - Springfield Remanufacturing Corp. (SRC)

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
• Follow company safety procedures, JSA's and work instructions.
• Comply with OSHA standards including, Lock Out/Tag Out, Confined Space Entry, Arc-Flash and Electrical safety.
• Record and report damaged, worn, or broken parts unsafe for operation and prepares reports documenting work performed.
• Read and interpret machinery manuals and maintenance requests to perform repairs or service.
• Identify causes of unexpected breakdowns and repair broken machinery quickly and efficiently.
• Clean, organize, inventory, stock, and maintain shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
• Perform regular maintenance on machines.
• Collaborate with maintenance supervisor and production regarding new products being added and modifications required.
• Make necessary modifications and implement test runs.

Qualifications

• Must have a working knowledge of troubleshooting 3 phase electrical and mechanical systems.
• Hydraulics, PLC, and welding are a plus.
• 3 years of multi-craft experience in an industrial environment.
• Vocational or Associate's degree in Industrial Controls and Automation Technology or related coursework experience, preferred.
• Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.
• Works well independently and with others.
• Good communication skills.
• Organized with attention to detail.
• Able to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
• Programmable Logic Controls troubleshooting and programming preferred, but training will be offered.
• Computer skills with MS office products, preferred.
