Position Responsibilities
- Installs, maintains, and repairs manufacturing equipment.
- Installs, maintains, and repairs facility related equipment including: access control systems, fire alarm systems, and gas generator systems.
- Completes preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on various types of equipment.
- Able to safely troubleshoot and perform basic electrical repairs.
- Operates/maintains machine shop equipment, hand tools, measuring, and diagnostic equipment.
- Documents completed repairs.
- Fabricates, rebuilds, designs, and installs machine parts.
- Mechanical installation and troubleshooting of oil lubrication, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems including piping.
- Maintain compressed air and drying equipment.
- Installation and troubleshooting of electrical motors and controls.
- Constructs electrical control panels from various schematics.
- Implement ways to reduce costs, increase productivity, and eliminate waste.
- Identify, requisition, and track supplies required to complete assignments.
- Follows safe working practices and procedures.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Technical training in a relevant field is preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods of time. Must have a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical principles. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
