Maintenance Technician Spec
Position Responsibilities
- Installs, maintains, and repairs manufacturing equipment.
- Installs, maintains, and repairs facility related equipment including: access control systems, fire alarm systems, and gas generator systems.
- Completes preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on various types of equipment.
- Able to safely troubleshoot and perform basic electrical repairs.
- Operates/maintains machine shop equipment, hand tools, measuring, and diagnostic equipment.
- Documents completed repairs.
- Fabricates, rebuilds, designs, and installs machine parts.
- Mechanical installation and troubleshooting of oil lubrication, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems including piping.
- Maintain compressed air and drying equipment.
- Installation and troubleshooting of electrical motors and controls.
- Constructs electrical control panels from various schematics.
- Implement ways to reduce costs, increase productivity, and eliminate waste.
- Identify, requisition, and track supplies required to complete assignments.
- Follows safe working practices and procedures.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to read, write, and understand English. Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Must be able to operate power tools and machinery safely. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions. Must be able to troubleshoot and repair equipment. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
