Maintenance Technician - Overlook at Sunset Point

Avanti Residential is seeking a full‑time Service Technician to keep the appearance and operations of the Overlook at Sunset Point community in excellent condition. The role involves preparing units for new move‑ins, completing work orders, performing appliance repairs, conducting unit inspections, updating logs, and handling exterior maintenance and on‑call emergencies.

Schedule

Monday – Friday. On‑call required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare units for move‑ins with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and painting repairs.
• Monitor property condition, correct unsafe conditions, and report safety concerns to the Service Manager or Community Manager immediately.
• Complete work orders within 24 hours as directed and report emergency work orders promptly.
• Provide 24‑hour emergency maintenance and on‑call coverage.
• Perform grounds pick‑up, sweeping, and light landscaping such as mulch and sprinkler‑head replacements when possible.
• Make ready units for new move‑ins, perform work orders (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.), appliance repairs, unit inspections, and update logs as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ years of relevant experience required.
• EPA Type II or Universal Certification preferred.
• CAMT certification preferred (not required).
• CPO certification preferred where applicable.
• Written, verbal, and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of facilities management and mechanical equipment.
• Pass criminal background screening prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license and up‑to‑date vehicle insurance.
• Completion of the Wonderlic pre‑employment assessment if minimum qualifications are met.
