Responsibilities
- Provide maintenance expertise to service, repair, and maintain process and utility equipment.
- Understand the needs and requirements of customers and handle customer questions with tact and understanding.
- Improve equipment uptime, line efficiency, and overall equipment effectiveness.
- Diagnose and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Document actions taken to repair equipment.
- Aid in the setup and changeover of production line equipment.
- Assist in areas outside of primary responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance or manufacturing experience
- Completion of post-offer exam or completion of work simulation if applicable
- Ability to speak, read, and write English at a sufficient level
- Proficiency in business software programs like GMARS, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Good mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with repair of equipment
- Industrial electrical experience using VOM and Amprobe meters
- Familiarity with set-up and operation of a lathe, mill, surface grinder, and drill press
Additional Skills / Preferences
- Ability to work with potentially dangerous and hazardous equipment
- Exposure to allergens in some plant sites
- Physical mobility and exposure to allergens should be considered
- Fit for duty test is required
