Maintenance Technician- Omaha, NE

About the role

The Arthur- Omaha, NE is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor for their new property. Located in the heart of Omaha, The Arthur offers a prime location with easy access to dining, shopping, and entertainment, while maintaining a rich historical atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Perform all interior and exterior repairs to maintain apartments, common areas, buildings and grounds according to established procedures.
• Regularly communicate with supervisor as to status of service requests, make ready units, etc.
• Complete vacant units to make ready status per established procedures.
• Inspect all work performed by outside contractors.
• Inspect and/or perform exterior maintenance ensuring high level curb appeal.
• Ensure that all Federal, State and County Health and Safety Codes, Laws and Standards are followed.
• Regularly inspect common areas to ensure proper functioning and cleanliness.
• Participate in resident functions as requested by Management.
• Maintenance team members may be required to be “on call”.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• A valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
• An HVAC certification is preferred.
• A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in maintenance or equivalent field.
• A working knowledge in plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and general building trades.
• The ability to follow directives and work with minimal supervision.
• A basic understanding of the English language and effective communication skills.
• The ability to interact positively with residents, employees, vendors, and the general public.

Schedule

The hours for this position are 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with “on call” requirement for emergency maintenance on weekends/evenings.
