Job Description
Continental in Norfolk Nebraska has a need for Maintenance Technicians with an Electro-Mechanical or related degree or has a minimum of 5 years of Industrial Maintenance experience in areas listed in this job posting. This individual will perform a variety of duties involved in the installation, alterations, maintenance, development and repair of plant machinery, equipment, facilities, and structures.
Troubleshooting and Repair
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and maintain a variety of mechanical, electrical and manufacturing equipment and machinery
- Set up and operate machining tools such as engine lathe, milling machine, drill press, grinders, alter or construct replacement parts, recondition production tooling
- Maintain plant plumbing, heating, cooling, and related facilities and equipment
- Read and understand electrical diagrams and blueprints
- Knowledge of PLCS, electronic and mechanical systems
- Basic knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Identify and resolve problems before they become costly
- Welding, fabrication and machining skills
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge and utilization of lean manufacturing tools
Leadership
- Assume the job of temporary team leader on a rotational basis
Qualifications
- A 2 year Electro Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or related degree OR has a minimum of 5 years of Industrial Maintenance experience with experience in areas listed in this job posting
- Willing to work night shift
