Manufacturing Maintenance Technician – rotating 2/2/3 night shift (6:45 PM – 7:00 AM). Pay: $22–$42/hour based on experience. Eligible for a $2,100 sign-on bonus: $700 after 90 days, $700 after 6 months, and $700 after 1 year.
Responsibilities
- Maintain production lines and equipment to achieve minimal monthly downtime from equipment failure.
- Collaborate with Maintenance Manager, Production Supervision, and Line Leads to develop and prioritize work orders each shift; ensure 85 % on-time completion.
- Complete assigned work orders accurately and on schedule.
- Support 6S workplace-organization and TPM production-efficiency programs, achieving 80 % adherence and reducing inefficiencies by 25 %.
- Train and coach operators on daily preventative-maintenance (CIL) checks to reduce floor-level maintenance issues.
- Assist the preventative-maintenance process to cut unplanned downtime caused by missed tasks.
- Help commission production lines after maintenance or process events, minimizing post-commissioning adjustments.
- Participate in plant projects that improve efficiency (e.g., reduced downtime, faster production rates).
- Work collaboratively to meet team goals on projects and tasks.
- Complete additional duties as assigned within required time frames, maintaining an 80 % completion rate.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance or a similar role.
- Proven experience with electrical, electronic, motor-controller drives, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot systems swiftly, targeting a 15 % reduction in troubleshooting time.
- Strong background in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
- PLC logic knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical diagrams.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills; resolve issues independently without escalation.
- Strong mathematical skills applicable to maintenance tasks and troubleshooting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for diverse audiences.
- Self-directed, motivated, and capable of multitasking in a 24/7 manufacturing setting.
Physical Requirements
- Lift a minimum of 50 lbs and maneuver large, cumbersome equipment.
- Wear and work in personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Work in variable-temperature environments and stand for extended periods.
- Pass a physical-abilities test to confirm capability for work-related tasks.
Qualifications
- High-school diploma or GED required.
- Advanced education or related certifications are a plus.
- Completion of a two-year Maintenance Certification course is a plus.
- Stick and wire welding experience with structural welding certification is a plus.
- Forklift experience required; ability to complete Return Polymers Forklift Certification program.
Pay
$22–$42 per hour depending on experience.
Schedule
Rotating 2/2/3 night shift: 6:45 PM – 7:00 AM.
