MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN NIGHT SHIFT BELLINGHAM
Key Responsibilities
- Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
- Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
- Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
- Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Repairs or replaces defective parts.
- Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
- Lubricates and cleans parts, equipment, and machinery.
- Tests and adjusts equipment to meet performance specifications.
- Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, saws, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
- Sharpens and reshapes tools as necessary.
- Initiates purchase order for parts and machines.
- Repairs electrical equipment.
Additional Responsibilities
- Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
- Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.
Minimum Qualifications
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in Production/Manufacturing Maintenance.
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year certificate from college or technical school.
- 5 years of experience in production maintenance, preferably in food.
- Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, conveyors, and bagging machines.
Physical Demands
- Regularly stands, walks, uses hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls.
- Occasionally climbs or balances.
- Moves objects regularly up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Pay & Benefits
This is a nonexempt position with an hourly rate of $28 to $38.66 per hour.
