About the role
Join a state-of-the-art electronics manufacturer as they add to their dynamic maintenance team. This is a permanent full-time role operating during the night shift, ideal for those who thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment to detect malfunctions.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
- Diagnose problems and perform necessary repairs to equipment and systems, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Utilize a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Operate a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of plant equipment.
- Troubleshoot PLC systems and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Assist in training lower-level technicians and operators as needed.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance team performance and product quality.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Basic knowledge of single- and three-phase electrical systems.
- Deep understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency using various tools, including lathe and mill.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Knowledge of programmable logic controller (PLC) systems.
- Understanding of machine maintenance tech and pneumatics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree from a vocational school or BSc/BA in business administration or facility management is an advantage.
- Valid Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is desired.
