Maintenance Technician - Night Shift
About the role
Operate state-of-the-art printing presses to deliver high-quality printing and finishing services for film, paper, and specialty materials.
Work alongside 160 employee-owners in a collaborative environment, monitoring production quality, troubleshooting equipment issues, and participating in comprehensive training programs.
Serve essential markets including food, consumer goods, industrial, and healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on flexographic printing presses, dryers, anilox roll systems, and rewind/unwind stations
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults including PLC-controlled systems, servo drives, VFDs, sensors, and HMI panels
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, and mechanical blueprints
- Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards
- Maintain and troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems associated with press operations
- Conduct inspections and scheduled PM tasks per OEM guidelines and internal maintenance schedules
- Respond promptly to breakdown calls to minimize production downtime
- Replace and align print cylinders, impression rollers, and web-guiding components
- Ensure all electrical work complies with NFPA 70 (NEC), OSHA, and company safety standards
- Cover maintenance windows with press operators and production supervisors
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment history in CMMS
- Order and manage spare parts inventory for critical equipment
- Support installation and commissioning of new press equipment
- Perform maintenance of electrical systems
- Maintain heating and plumbing systems or ensure functionality
- Inspect alarm systems and schedule repairs when needed
- Perform manual repairs when necessary
- Conduct general upkeep procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience; flexographic or printing industry preferred
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a sense of urgency in a production environment
- Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical/Industrial Maintenance, or equivalent trade experience
- Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort with measuring tools
- Strong communication skills and positive attitude
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a technical environment
Qualifications
- Pass pre-employment drug screening
Skills
- Journeyman Electrician license a plus
- Proficiency with PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and drive systems
- Basic computer knowledge
- Previous manufacturing experience

Pay
Starting Salary: Wages ranging from $28.00 - $35.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
Schedule
Work only 15 days per month with our unique 2-2-3 schedule: Work: Monday & Tuesday – Off: Wednesday & Thursday – Work: Friday, Saturday, & Sunday Off: Monday & Tuesday – Work: Wednesday & Thursday – Off: Friday, Saturday, & Sunday 12-hour static shifts (Nights - 6:00pm – 6:00am)
