Maintenance Technician, Multifamily
About the role
The Maintenance Technician supports the delivery of commitments to residents, focusing on quality move-ins, residential satisfaction, expedited service, and personal attention. Key responsibilities include preparing make-ready apartments, responding to resident requests, maintaining grounds, and reporting maintenance concerns.
Responsibilities
- Prepares make-ready apartments, including painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, general repairs, and housekeeping duties.
- Responds to resident requests promptly and professionally.
- Knowledge of maintenance functions such as plumbing, HVAC, basic electric, carpentry, painting, and snow removal.
- Maintains grounds, pools/hot tubs, common areas, and dog park amenities.
- On-call scheduling for after-hour emergencies.
- Reports maintenance concerns to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Schedules and performs maintenance tasks as directed.
- Complies with state, local, and federal fair housing laws.
- Attends and participates in training programs.
- Delivers superior customer service and maintains a professional image.
- Adheres to safety procedures and ensures proper use and maintenance of company tools and equipment.
- Maintains punctual attendance and reports tardiness.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license, EPA 608 - Minimum Type II and CPO or local city required certificate.
- Ability to read and understand documents, compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and prepare and interpret graphs.
- Ability to solve problems and follow instructions.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 100 pounds.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, Trade, Technical, or Vocational school.
- 1+ years of related experience.
Skills
- Valid driver's license.
- EPA 608 - Minimum Type II and CPO or local city required certificate.
