About the role

The Maintenance Technician supports the delivery of commitments to residents, ensuring quality move-ins, residential satisfaction, expedited service, and personal attention. Key responsibilities include preparing make-ready apartments, responding to resident requests, maintaining grounds, pools/hot tubs, common areas, and dog park amenities, and reporting maintenance concerns.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares make-ready apartments, including painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, general repairs, and housekeeping duties.
  • Responds to resident requests promptly and professionally.
  • Knowledgeable in maintenance functions such as plumbing, HVAC, basic electric, carpentry, painting, and snow removal (if applicable).
  • Maintains grounds, pools/hot tubs, common areas, and dog park amenities to ensure cleanliness, operation, and safety.
  • On-call scheduling may be required for after-hour emergencies.
  • Reports maintenance concerns to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Performs maintenance tasks as scheduled by the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Complies with state, local, and federal fair housing laws.
  • Attends and participates in training programs as required.
  • Delivers superior customer service and represents the company professionally.
  • Maintains safety procedures and ensures proper use of company tools and equipment.
  • Achieves high productivity through reliable attendance and timely reporting of tardiness.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver's license, EPA 608 - Minimum Type II and CPO or local city required certificate.
  • Ability to read/understand documents, compute, and follow safety procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and maintain professional demeanor.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 100 pounds.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, Trade, Technical, or Vocational school.
  • 1+ years of related experience.

Skills

  • Knowledge of maintenance functions.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding documents.
  • Ability to compute and follow safety procedures.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 100 pounds.

Pay

$20.40 - $24.00 per hour.

Schedule

Regular on-site attendance is required, with occasional travel to other properties. Regularly required to travel outside buildings in varying weather conditions.
