Maintenance Technician (Mechanical & Electrical)

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our Litchfield, Illinois location. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and uptime of our plant operations through corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance activities.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all work meets Corteva safety standards by leading safe practices, driving risk reduction efforts, and supporting incident investigations.
- Support plant operations through corrective, preventative, and predictive maintenance activities.
- Create, modify, and close work orders in the CMMS system, ensuring accurate documentation of labor and parts allocation.
- Provide maintenance support for capital projects, collaborating with vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
- Maintain the condition of the plant shop and maintenance tools.
- Lead, assist, and complete grounds and facility maintenance as needed.
- Utilize predictive maintenance tools to identify emerging equipment issues and develop/update preventive maintenance plans.
- Complete fabrication projects to enhance plant processes and improve safety.
- Assist in maintaining detailed equipment records and prints.
- Plan and lead project work, ensuring maintenance activities do not interrupt production.
- Maintain the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system, including work order quality, PM plans, and user training/support.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED.
- Valid US driver's license.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficient in basic computer skills.
- Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn, understand, and apply mechanical concepts.
- Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
Physical Requirements
- Stand and sit for extended periods.
- Work both outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet, and dry conditions.
- Lift up to 60 lbs.
- Perform work involving repetitive motion and/or repetitive lifting.
- Exposure to dust, plant allergens (corn, sunflower, cotton, canola pollen, protein, sorghum), mold spores, and chemicals.

Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of maintaining/repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical power transmission, HVAC, and electrical systems.
- Millwright and welding skills, especially relevant to the seed industry.
- Experience with Power Industrial Equipment (forklift, aerial lifts, tractors, telehandler, etc.).
- Basic process controls understanding.
- 2-3 years of industrial maintenance experience.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $65,466.00 to $82,730.00. This reflects a reasonable estimate of the targeted base salary for this role. Actual base pay is determined based on factors such as geographic location and candidate qualifications. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus.
Additional Information
Corteva announced plans to separate its advanced seed and genetics business to establish Vylor, Inc. The process is anticipated to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to legal requirements and board approval.
