Summary

The company’s Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. We Are Seeking Qualified Applicants For The Position Maintenance Technician, Mechanical Located Plaquemines.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Executes preventive and corrective maintenance mechanical work according to site LNG HSSE processes, procedures, standards, and regulations.
  • Adherence to VGIMS (Venture Global Integrity Management System), site maintenance manual and work management process and procedures.
  • Identify potential safety, health, and environmental work hazards.
  • Understand maintenance work scope and applicable operation and maintenance processes and procedures.
  • Performs problem solving activities to ensure maintenance and reliability issues corrective measures are implemented.
  • Functions as maintenance SME (Subject matter expert) for mechanical systems.
  • Prepare and create required job safety hazard analysis and work permits under his/her area of responsibility (ePTW as applicable).
  • Ensure permits are prepared and submitted to Operations well in advance before execution.
  • Works with maintenance and engineering counterparts to ensure the safe completion of scheduled maintenance work.
  • Responsible for daily work progress reports and updates, adhering to maintenance work execution processes and procedures, among other activities.
  • Manage personal timecard according to VG LNG Policies and Procedures (vacation, time-off, sick leave, training, “On-call” etc.).
  • Supervise contractor work execution, safe work completion, and performance according to site contractor management procedures.
  • Reports contractor work quality/non-compliance issues to direct supervisor and Planning/Contract teams.
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to others and hold personal accountability for performance and behavior.
  • Identify and request required special and routine tools/equipment/PPE for the safe execution of maintenance activities under his/her area of responsibility.
  • Participate in site ready for operations (RFO) maintenance projects to develop required maintenance systems, processes, and procedures before commercial operations.
  • Supports Mechanical equipment factory acceptance test (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT) as required.
  • Supports Mechanical equipment pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and operation of the VG Facility.
  • This will include being a vital member of the integrated commissioning / start-up team(s) with the EPC contractor.
  • Participate in various reviews during the engineering and design phases, such as HAZOPs, 3D models, and P&ID reviews.

  • Able to operate Industrial Mobile Equipment (i.e., Forklift truck, Aerial Lift, etc...).
  • Able to work at elevated height(s) over.
  • Able to work over water and operate watercraft.
  • Proficient in using computer applications including Apple Mac, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, Project, and PowerPoint).
  • Required Experience:
    • Minimum Five (5) years of maintenance mechanical technician work experience in Oil & Gas, LNG, or petrochemical facilities.
    • Strong knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical static and rotating equipment.
    • Applied knowledge of maintenance and inspection of mechanical equipment such as - but not limited to, Loading arms, Gangways, Berth systems, cryogenic pumps and systems (Cold Box, Refrigerant Storage, etc.), reciprocated, screw and centrifugal compressors, Diesel engines, Air Cooled Heat Exchangers, Flare systems, Catalysts loading/unloading, etc.
    • Experience working scaffolding, painting, insulating, heavy equipment operation-rigging/lifting crafts, welding, fabrication, machining, etc.
    • Familiar with CMMS systems work management process (Work order process).
    • SAP experience is preferred.
    • Experience supporting small/medium scale mechanical projects.

Licenses & Certifications

  • Applicable nationally recognized standard Certification. (i.e., NCCER) preferred.
  • Must maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good standing status.

Education

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; Technical degree in Mechanical.

Work Conditions

  • Job is performed in an industrial plant environment.
  • May require limited travel and temporary assignment.
  • Indoors & outdoors, and be exposed to year-round weather conditions, ocean environment, and noise.
  • Significant number of outdoor activities involved.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to pass regularly scheduled physical examinations mandated by regulatory authorities.
  • Must obtain mandated certification by attending company-sponsored training in basic first aid, CPR, AED & LNG firefighting.
