Maintenance Technician - McD
About the role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide support to our maintenance department by conducting routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and repairing and/or replacing equipment and machinery.
Responsibilities
- Cover routine maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facilities, including inspecting, cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting parts as needed.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Test and calibrate equipment and machinery to ensure proper functioning.
- Perform major repairs and machine overhauls as necessary.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and parts used.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to minimize downtime and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Adhere to safety protocols and follow established procedures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Keep up-to-date with equipment manuals, procedures, and training materials, as required.
- Aid in the installation of new equipment and machinery.
- Communicate effectively with other team members to share knowledge and ensure the successful completion of maintenance tasks.
Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance or related field.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Good understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and work in confined and elevated spaces.
- Ability to work outside of regular hours, as necessary, and work overtime or emergency call-ins as required.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate's degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance or related field.
- Technical Skills: Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems; proficiency with hand and power tools and diagnostic equipment; ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Safety: Good understanding of safety protocols and regulations; adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
- Communication: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
