Maintenance Technician - Instrumentation & Controls Itinerant
Position Specific Description
This position is located at our Fort Lauderdale Plant in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and will travel the state of Florida to support the fleet outages. Tools are provided by the company. Days and shifts will vary based on the business unit needs during the outage. Normal schedule (not supporting an outage) is a day shift Monday-Friday. Overtime hours average approximately between 400 hours to 800 hours per year. Employees are offered per diem when traveling outside of their region.
The plant operates 24/7 so individuals will be expected to work and support weekend days as needed.

Job Overview
Performs Instrumentation & Control equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, replacement and repairs activities:
- Repairs, replaces, troubleshoots, calibrates and maintains power plant Instrumentation & Control equipment and systems
- Utilizes/operates various types of test instruments. Uses hand, power, tools/equipment necessary to support a safe and productive work environment
- Candidates will be required to take and pass the MASS Test and also be Hands-On tested to demonstrate knowledge and craft skills
Required Qualifications
- Pwr Plt Mtce Pos Sel Sys Test passed
- Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
Desired Qualification
Troubleshooting Distributed Control Systems and PLC's Installation, troubleshooting and repair of fiber optic conductors
