Maintenance Technician – Injection Molding & Extrusion (On-site)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on motors, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyor systems to ensure reliable operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair molding machines, extruders, granulators, chillers, temperature controllers, conveyors, and other industrial equipment.
- Collaborate with outside vendors and contractors for service support, parts procurement, and facility projects.
- Read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and equipment specifications.
- Ensure all work meets industry safety standards, including electrical and mechanical safety guidelines.
- Utilize the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS – Fiix) to document work orders, track repairs, and manage maintenance tasks.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, including hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Experience working in a fast-paced production setting with automated equipment.
- Preferred Skills And Abilities:
- Experience with injection molding or extrusion equipment.
- Knowledge of industrial automation and controls.
- CMMS experience (Fiix or similar).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Familiarity with PLC-controlled systems (experience is a plus).
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Willingness to obtain NFPA 70E certification if not already certified.
- Ability to diagnose issues quickly and implement effective solutions.
- Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and equipment schematics.
Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.
- The employee is occasionally required to use hands and fingers to type or dial, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- This position requires computer use.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Compensation
- RectorSeal has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive.
- You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position.
- The target salary range for this hourly opportunity is $26.00/hr. - $32.00/hr. Plus, there is an annual bonus incentive.
- Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of the CSWI Board of Directors.
