Maintenance Technician III (Electrician)

About the role
Independently perform Senior level technical support within the maintenance department. Trains lower-level Technicians on more advanced tasks.
Schedule
- Rotating 12-hour shift: 4 days on, 4 days off
- Day shift hours: 6:00 am to 6:30 pm
Responsibilities
- Adhere to AbbVie’s code of conduct
- Maintain the function of department assets to ensure reliable equipment and quality standards are met
- Assist in root cause investigation and reliability-centered maintenance analysis
- Train others on tasks and be proficient in multiple skilled trade disciplines
- Create or edit maintenance job plans
- Perform advanced-level tasks in core function
- Assist cross-functional teams outside of the maintenance organization
- Support continuous improvement projects and safety initiatives within the maintenance organization and/or the site
- Understand and follow all safety and GMP regulations
- Conduct testing of conductor insulation, transformer coils, circuit breakers, and related switchgear on a routine basis using testing equipment
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), whether used for Distributive Control Systems (DCS) or emergency lighting, located throughout the plant
- Troubleshoot, repair, and conduct preventive maintenance on motor control centers
- Demonstrate knowledge in the operation of Soft Starts and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
- Demonstrate understanding of AbbVie Electrical Standards, NEC, and GMP requirements
Requirements
- HS diploma with 10+ years of experience, or
- Relevant Certificate with 5+ years of experience, or
- Associates technical degree with 3+ years of experience, or
- Proficient in two or more skilled maintenance functions
- CMRT (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician) or equivalent accreditation desired
- Knowledge and ability to use advanced tools (e.g., machine tools, diagnostic tools, predictive tools)
- Intermediate computer skills (MS Windows)
Pay
The compensation range described is the range of possible base pay that AbbVie believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of posting, based on the job grade. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
