Job Description
As an Engineering Technician III, you will perform advanced maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repair work across multiple trade disciplines, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliances, and pool operations. This role requires strong technical knowledge, independent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead projects while maintaining Westgate's high standards of quality and guest service.

- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and mechanical systems.
- Perform advanced carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, tile, and finish repairs.
- Maintain pools, spas, and water features, including equipment repairs and water chemistry.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and equipment specifications to complete repairs accurately.
- Utilize maintenance management software (HotSOS and other applicable systems) to complete work orders and manage daily operations.
- Aid with procurement, inventory management, and ensuring tools and materials are available for assigned projects.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and other maintenance equipment while following all safety procedures.
- Identify safety hazards, maintain compliance with company policies, and communicate professionally with guests, team members, and leadership.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on maintenance or skilled trades experience in a resort, hospitality, commercial, or facilities environment.
- Universal EPA HVAC Certification required.
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification required.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Advanced knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment manuals.
- Strong communication, troubleshooting, and customer service skills.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, scaffolds, lifts, and other maintenance equipment while using appropriate PPE.
- Ability to regularly lift, move, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules as needed.
- Required to pass a background check, drug test, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- HVAC license required.
