Maintenance Technician III

About the role

The Maintenance Technician III is responsible for inspecting various pieces of machinery and equipment such as hydrogen and vacuum furnaces, overhead cranes, DI tanks, forklifts, among others. This role involves performing repairs on machinery and other equipment as required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect overhead cranes
• Inspect DI Tanks
• Inspect forklift – per checklist
• Inspect pressure gauges
• Inspect water pressure
• Inspect heating elements
• Inspect cooling systems
• Perform Hydrogen sensor calibration
• Calibrate Hydrogen sensors
• Check for faults and leaks
• Check oil on all pumps
• Check water temps
• Check water pressure
• Perform repairs on machinery and other equipment as required
• Maintain shop as per OSHA requirements
• Aid management with continual improvements
• Install, replace, and check shop lights
• Maintain safety guidelines
• Uphold the company core values
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a facilities technician

• Must have the knowledge and experience necessary for the position
• Must be able to follow instructions and procedures and work with minimal supervision
• Must be capable of reading drawings and inspecting the work being performed
• Excellent reading, writing, and communication skills
• Basic knowledge of electricity
• Repair knowledge of related machinery and equipment
