Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs to equipment as needed
- Install new process equipment
- Train new employees in maintenance process and procedures
- Develop and train other team members in maintenance standards and procedures
- Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and schedule
- Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines
- Locate sources of problems by observing and listening to mechanical devices in operation
- Prepare maintenance reports
- Install new production equipment and required infrastructure
- Read and interpret work instructions, then execute work per instructions
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Related degree from a technical college, a plus
- 5+ years of proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, including welding and plasma cutting
Skills
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems maintenance
- Ability to read and understand written instructions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment safely and efficiently
- Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Average proficiency in mathematics
- Good visual acuity
