Maintenance Technician III

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs to equipment as needed
• Install new process equipment
• Train new employees in maintenance process and procedures
• Develop and train other team members in maintenance standards and procedures
• Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and schedule
• Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines
• Locate sources of problems by observing and listening to mechanical devices in operation
• Prepare maintenance reports
• Install new production equipment and required infrastructure
• Read and interpret work instructions, then execute work per instructions

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Related degree from a technical college, a plus
• 5+ years of proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, including welding and plasma cutting

Skills

• In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems maintenance
• Ability to read and understand written instructions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment safely and efficiently
• Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
• Average proficiency in mathematics
• Good visual acuity
