About the Role
The Maintenance Technician will support Pueblo site maintenance programs, including preventative, predictive, and corrective work to ensure proper system operations. This individual will support facility-wide industrial piping, mechanical, electrical, and I&C systems by providing advanced troubleshooting and problem solving in field applications along with all other maintenance activities as assigned. Have the ability to generate NCMRs. Attend and certify as 40-hour hazwoper trained.
Responsibilities
- Work in a safe manner and in compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and other department policies and procedures.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair: Process piping, mechanical equipment, centrifugal and diaphragm pumps used for process and lab operations at the Pueblo site.
- Industrial fixed, rotating, and mechanical equipment such as pumps, piping, valves, motors, fans.
- Assist with any electrical work, if qualified.
- Follow maintenance process requirements, including use of SAP to identify equipment issues, obtain parts, document findings, track labor hours, capture repair history, etc.
- Inspect, evaluate accuracy, and maintain heat exchangers and valves at the Pueblo site.
- Troubleshoot process pumps, piping, conveyers, bottling equipment, and valves to confirm operable to design/manufacturers recommendations.
- Remove, replace, repair, as needed, inoperable mechanical / electrical equipment from facility wide manufacturing systems.
- Perform sensor adjustments / replacements, wire up fan motors, change lights and ballasts, and understand process control screens.
- Have the ability to generate NCMR's.
- Attend and certify as 40-hour hazwoper trained.
- Write procedures to maintain and repair equipment when required.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards and excellent workmanship.
- Support and participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety and quality department programs and requirements.
- Perform other duties, as requested.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 6+ years working in a maintenance department or other relatable experience is required.
- Experience in plumbing, process piping, electrical, or mechanical equipment is preferred.
- Working knowledge of centrifugal/diaphragm pumps, lined piping, PFA/Kynar piping a plus.
- Familiarity with function of heat exchangers and pneumatic-operated valves a plus.
- Familiarity with MCC equipment, breakers, 480/277V systems, and branch circuit wiring systems is a plus.
- Maintain good housekeeping and quality of workmanship.
- General knowledge of SAP is required, must have a CMMS background.
- Strong computer skills (MS Excel/Word, Google Mail/Drive, etc) required.
- Detail oriented individual, able to manage multiple tasks with input from various individuals in the maintenance, engineering, processing, and packaging departments.
- Must have a valid Colorado drivers' license.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work well with others at all levels of the organization.
- Perform other duties, as required.
- Ability to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift and required, work additional hours, and some weekends will be required and OT as needed.

Pay
The pay range for this role is estimated at $28.00/hr. - $31.00/hr. with actual wage based on candidate's qualifications and experience.
