About the role
The Maintenance Technician III will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment, respond to equipment breakdowns, and handle welding, light plumbing, and electrical issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs to control and maintain facility equipment, infrastructure, and operations.
- Work on production equipment including PLCs, extruders, braiders, compressors, and chillers.
- Regularly inspect and evaluate equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation.
- Provide written details of work performed on Work Order forms and other documents.
- Perform, facilitate, and manage special projects within set timelines.
- Maintain records on equipment status and maintenance activities.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment and assets per a set schedule.
- Determine materials needed for frequent repairs, prepare requisitions, and monitor inventory.
- Train less experienced Maintenance Technicians.
- Develop plans and estimates for electrical projects, including time, equipment, and resources needed.
- Prepare written reports on ongoing projects and machinery condition.
- Follow safety rules and always wear PPE.
- Perform other maintenance-related work as assigned.
Requirements
- 5+ years of related maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 2+ years of experience as an Electrician preferred.
- Experience working with 460-volt equipment.
- Plumbing experience is a plus.
- Any training or certifications are a plus.
Skills
- Ability to operate hand tools, mechanical equipment, electrical diagnostic equipment, and use a computer.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic welding skills are a plus.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
- Willingness to work overtime when needed.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm, with flexibility to work overtime if needed.
