Maintenance Technician III

About the role

The Maintenance Technician III will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment, respond to equipment breakdowns, and handle welding, light plumbing, and electrical issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs to control and maintain facility equipment, infrastructure, and operations.
• Work on production equipment including PLCs, extruders, braiders, compressors, and chillers.
• Regularly inspect and evaluate equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation.
• Provide written details of work performed on Work Order forms and other documents.
• Perform, facilitate, and manage special projects within set timelines.
• Maintain records on equipment status and maintenance activities.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment and assets per a set schedule.
• Determine materials needed for frequent repairs, prepare requisitions, and monitor inventory.
• Train less experienced Maintenance Technicians.
• Develop plans and estimates for electrical projects, including time, equipment, and resources needed.
• Prepare written reports on ongoing projects and machinery condition.
• Follow safety rules and always wear PPE.
• Perform other maintenance-related work as assigned.

Requirements

• 5+ years of related maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years of experience as an Electrician preferred.
• Experience working with 460-volt equipment.
• Plumbing experience is a plus.
• Any training or certifications are a plus.

Skills

• Ability to operate hand tools, mechanical equipment, electrical diagnostic equipment, and use a computer.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Basic welding skills are a plus.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
• Willingness to work overtime when needed.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm, with flexibility to work overtime if needed.
