About the role
Perdue Foods seeks a Maintenance Technician III to join our 2nd shift team in Dillon, SC. This role plays a critical part in ensuring reliable, high-performance operations by maintaining and optimizing production equipment.Responsibilities
- Diagnose complex issues and perform advanced repairs on equipment.
- Lead preventive maintenance efforts to minimize downtime and improve equipment efficiency.
- Support production continuity and drive safe, efficient operations.
Requirements
- 5 - 8 Years of experience in maintenance mechanics.
- Strong reading, communication, math, writing, and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems, conveyor systems, and aptitude for industrial machinery.
- Proficiency in at least six of the following areas: Reading Blueprints/Schematics, Cutting and welding (Oxygen, Acetylene, and Aluminum), Hydraulics, Pumps, Electrical wiring and motors, Filter systems, Pipe fitting/plumbing, Operation of shop equipment, Millwright, Sheet metal fabrication, Refrigeration systems, Pneumatics, Carpentry, Certified electrician.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent, or two years of technical college preferred.
Skills
- Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions including extreme temperatures, humidity, noise, and chemical exposure.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as bending, twisting, lifting, reaching, sitting, and grasping.
- Wear and use protective and safety equipment as required.
