Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot electrical systems ranging from 24V DC to 460V AC (3-Phase)
- Perform scheduled and emergency repairs, including preventative maintenance, equipment upgrades, and integration of new production equipment
- Mentor and support fellow maintenance technicians through hands-on guidance, troubleshooting support and knowledge sharing
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints and technical manuals to understand system operations
- Competently complete complex mechanical and electrical equipment and facility repairs
- Identify root causes of recurring equipment failures and implement long-term corrective solutions
- Communicate effectively on downtime events, equipment issues and maintenance priorities
- Troubleshoot and support PLC-controlled systems, VFDs, servo drives, sensors, encoders and associated controls
- Keep track of parts / supplies in inventory, documenting and ordering what is needed to minimize downtime
- Asses, perform, and properly document equipment and facility repairs and adjustments
- Work independently during critical times, delivering results without direct supervision
- Prioritize tasks, diagnose problems, and find a solution
- Maintain flexible schedule, after hours, weekend emergencies and overtime as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience using Lock-out/Tag-out process, fall protection and other OSHA regulations
- High School diploma or equivalent required and 4+ years of maintenance experience in a facility, distribution and or manufacturing environment performing mechanical maintenance duties
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Customer focused and service driven
- Strong working knowledge of Conveyor systems, VFD’s, motors, sensors, relays and control circuits
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Experience with PLC logic principles, scanners, Input/Output modules, and photo sensors
- Proficiency using electrical diagnostic tools (digital and analog meters)
- Extensive mechanical and electrical maintenance, troubleshooting and repair
Qualifications
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and access elevated platforms safely
- Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching during shift
- Position in warehouse environment with exposure to temperature variations
- Must be comfortable working at heights when operating lift equipment
- Ability to safely use power tools and other mechanical equipment
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
