Maintenance Technician II/ Sunridge Meadows

About the role

Fairway Management, a key division of JES Holdings, manages over 250 apartment communities and single-family rental subdivisions in the affordable housing market. This role is essential for maintaining and enhancing the quality of living spaces for residents.

Responsibilities

• Regularly troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues as part of unit turns, work orders, and preventative maintenance.
• Perform general repairs independently.
• Maintain exceptional curb appeal.
• Complete daily resident work orders.
• Be available for on-call after hours.
• Maintain positive and professional relationships with residents, vendors, and other staff members.
• Make the manager aware of any health and safety concerns on site.
• Work overtime as needed and approved.
• Engage in training programs on HVAC, safety training, and HUD and LIHTC maintenance standards.

Requirements

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in multifamily, commercial, or hotel maintenance.
• Skills: Working knowledge in plumbing, electrical, basic HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, and building operating systems.
• Additional: Knowledge of REAC and INSPIRE inspection preparation.
• Physical & Work Environment: Must be able to lift a minimum of 55 lbs, work in enclosed spaces, and work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must have applicable maintenance tools.
• Must be willing to assist neighboring properties in maintenance tasks.
• Must be able to pick up supplies from area vendors as needed while legally operating a registered and properly insured vehicle.

The salary range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
