Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced maintenance and repairs on facility equipment, including mechanical systems, appliances, electrical systems, plumbing, and other critical components.
- Develop, implement, and oversee preventive maintenance programs in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and operational requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex equipment malfunctions using blueprints, manuals, schematic drawings, and technical expertise.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and company standards, promoting a safe work environment.
- Lead or assist in large-scale equipment installations, upgrades, and process improvements.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior maintenance team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve facility efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Maintain cleanliness in compliance with quality control procedures, OSHA, FDA, and USDA regulations to ensure the highest standards of food safety.
- Properly wear and maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including gloves, hairnets, face masks, and other safety gear, as mandated by OSHA and Company policies.
- Adapt to changing demands and meet daily performance goals.
- Work independently and as part of a team in a structured production environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of mechanical experience with food production equipment or comparable industrial machinery is required.
- Advanced electrical experience is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in welding and fabricating is required.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues.
- Ability to work at a fast pace while maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and consistency throughout shift.
- Perform all job duties in refrigerated conditions (35-40°F) for extended periods.
- Follow all safety guidelines, GMPs and OSHA regulations.
- Safely lift, carry, push, and move up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Remain on feet for the majority of the shift while performing repetitive motions, including reaching, bending, and twisting, as required for production tasks.
