Maintenance Technician II - Facilities & Maintenance

Responsibilities
- Perform all preventive maintenance in guest rooms and maintain applicable log books.
- Repair room plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, carpets, fixtures, case goods, and general cleans.
- Responsible for total suite care in a 500-room property.
- Handle general maintenance, including painting, plumbing, minor electrical repairs, wall covering repair, and furniture/millwork touch-up.
- Provide a VIP experience with high attention to detail.
- Maintain technical logs and record relevant data.
- Prioritize projects to minimize interruption to business operations.
- Promote positive public/employee relations at all times.
- Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or technical certificate.
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a hospitality environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must have close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception.
- Ability to work in high and low/precarious places, near fiberglass insulation, and under sinks/cabinets.
- Must communicate effectively with guests in English.
- Excellent hand/eye coordination and close vision.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Work Environment
The work environment is fast-paced, often crowded and noisy, with exposure to casino-related factors such as secondhand smoke and constant public interaction. The role requires physical mobility and the ability to work in various conditions, including high and low spaces.
