About the Role
These exceptionally driven professionals are essential to the maintenance and upkeep of our properties, ensuring they remain places our residents are proud to live. We seek dynamic professionals who are punctual, professional, and proactive, with strong time management skills and a keen eye for detail. This role involves completing work orders, performing preventative maintenance, and addressing small issues before they escalate. Key maintenance skills include drywall repair, painting, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and general building maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Regularly troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems as part of unit turns, work orders, and preventative maintenance.
- Perform general repairs independently and maintain exceptional curb appeal.
- Complete daily resident work orders and be available for on-call after-hours support.
- Conduct unit make-readies, including painting, carpet cleaning, and general unit cleaning.
- Perform quarterly preventative maintenance checks.
- Assist neighboring properties with maintenance tasks as needed.
- Pick up supplies from area vendors while legally operating a registered and properly insured vehicle.
- Report to the Regional Manager and Maintenance Superintendent for delegated tasks.
- Travel to and participate in regional and corporate training and conferences as required.
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with residents, vendors, and staff.
- Report any health and safety concerns to management.
- Work overtime as needed and approved.
- Engage in training programs for HVAC, safety, HUD, and LIHTC maintenance standards.
- Bring and maintain applicable maintenance tools.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in multifamily, commercial, or hotel maintenance.
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, basic HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, and building operating systems (e.g., door entry systems, fire suppression systems).
- Knowledge of REAC and INSPIRE inspection preparation.
Preferred Qualifications
- HVAC EPA Type II Certification.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Able to lift a minimum of 55 lbs.
- Able to work in enclosed spaces such as attics and crawl spaces.
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
