About the role
This role involves performing general and advanced maintenance and repair on interior and exterior building systems, with a focus on HVAC systems. Frequent travel between properties is required.
Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, repair, and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, including RTUs, split systems, and associated controls.
- Maintain HVAC performance to ensure efficiency, reliability, and occupant comfort.
- Identify system deficiencies and recommend corrective actions or upgrades.
- Coordinate and oversee HVAC vendors for repairs, installations, and system improvements.
- Perform routine building maintenance, including painting, ceiling tile replacement, lighting repairs, carpentry, and minor plumbing and electrical work.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment, documenting findings and preventative maintenance activities.
- Maintain exterior property appearance and ensure operational safety and efficiency.
- Support office moves, furniture setup, and special event arrangements.
- Avoidance of janitorial services and ensure cleanliness standards are maintained.
- Assist with building security, monitoring systems, and responding to alarms or incidents as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience in building maintenance, with strong emphasis on HVAC systems and troubleshooting.
- Proven knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and preventative maintenance practices (HVAC certification or equivalent experience preferred).
- Experience with general carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
- Ability to operate maintenance tools, HVAC diagnostic equipment, and building systems.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, CAFM systems, and work order platforms.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 85+ lbs.
- Ability to work on ladders, rooftops, and in physically demanding environments.
- Availability for on-call rotation, after-hours work, and frequent travel between properties.
- Bilingual preferred.
