Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Technician II in Los Angeles, CA, you will play a vital role in ensuring our buildings and grounds are safe, functional, and inviting. You’ll perform a variety of maintenance tasks, from plumbing and electrical repairs to HVAC and carpentry work, all while upholding our high standards for quality and safety.   • Complete service requests in a timely manner and interact with residents to ensure their needs are met.
  • Prepare vacant units to occupancy standards within established time frames.
  • Inspect property mechanical systems and grounds, addressing safety issues immediately with management.
  • Conduct advanced routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
  • Perform cleaning and upkeep of common areas and grounds.
  • Train and mentor junior maintenance staff as needed.
  • Inspect property and address maintenance concerns proactively.
  • Assist in emergency repairs as directed by supervisors and rotate on-call for emergency maintenance.
  • Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and report any shortages.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in general maintenance or related field.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.
  • Affordable housing experience is a plus.
  • Schedule flexibility is required, including the ability to work weekends when necessary to meet property maintenance demands.
  • Must be able to participate in the emergency on-call rotation as needed.
