Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot fire alarm and sprinkler systems and respond to emergency calls.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair various plumbing problems to include toilet plunging, snaking, or replacements of plumbing parts, piping, etc.
- Able to troubleshoot cause of electrical and appliance problems and make basic repairs such as resetting breakers and GFCI receptacles, changing out receptacles, lighting, fans, stoves, refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, disposals, etc.
- Basic troubleshooting of air conditioning systems and diagnosis of problems and changing of filters, cleaning coils, etc.
- Maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Moving and assembling furniture.
- Sheet rock repair and painting.
- Maintain and setup landscape irrigation systems.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid South Carolina Driver’s license with a good driving record
- 1 year of experience in maintenance at commercial facilities, school system, retirement communities, or hotels in all disciplines such as plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, refrigeration, ground maintenance, masonry and general maintenance
- HVAC Universal certification a plus
- Reasonable computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
